DOUGLAS RUEGSEGGER is the Managing Member of Ruegsegger Simons & Stern, LLC. Mr. Ruegsegger has practiced workers’ compensation law for more than 35 years. He has litigated cases of every kind under the Workers’ Compensation Act, along with subrogation claims, medical billing disputes, appeals, show cause orders, and Medicare set-aside matters. Mr. Ruegsegger also has represented clients in employment related matters, including wrongful termination and EEOC matters.
Mr. Ruegsegger is a member of the Colorado and Denver Bar associations, and a member of NAMSAP (Association of Medicare Professionals). He has given numerous talks and presentations to clients on all aspects of workers’ compensation matters. Mr. Ruegsegger also has helped insurers and employers develop and implement company-wide policies, procedures, and best practice standards for the most effective defense of workers’ compensation claims.
Mr. Ruegsegger was born in Alberta, Canada. He is married and has two children and two grandchildren, and in his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and listening to music.
